Group T and TNC Mining are proud to share progress on the MQA 4IR Learnership (FETC: IT Technical Support Level 4), launched on 23 June 2025 across three centres: Lime Acres, Magobing, and Kuruman.
Attendance Overview
Lime Acres: 38 learners
Kuruman: 26 learners
Magobing: 15 learners
Total daily attendance: 79 learners
Modules Completed: Learners have successfully completed Mathematics Literacy, including unit standards in financial mathematics, geometry, and statistics, amounting to 56 credits earned.
Challenges & Solutions: A few learners secured employment and requested formal resignations. We’ve engaged the MQA for guidance, while continuing to support active learners.
Next Steps:
Learners are building their electronic Portfolios of Evidence (POEs) across centres.
A Learning Management System (LMS) has been proposed to create personal learner portals and support blended learning, especially for employed participants.
This programme is a vital step in equipping unemployed youth with future-ready digital skills, bridging the gap between education and employment in mining communities.
