Group T, in partnership with TNC Mining and the Goodwill Institute of Technology, is driving a landmark project: establishing the Northern Cape’s first QCTO-accredited External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) Centre.
Currently, learners and Skills Development Providers (SDPs) in the province must travel long distances for their final assessments, leading to higher costs, delayed certifications, and fewer employment opportunities. By setting up a local centre, we aim to reduce these barriers and accelerate access to certification and jobs.
With venue support from the Province and alignment with industry partners, the Centre will:
- Lower costs for learners and SDPs
- Speed up certification turnaround times
- Create local employment (assessors, moderators, admin staff)
- Strengthen SETA partnerships and attract more training providers
Implementation is planned within 9 months, ensuring operational readiness and long-term sustainability through a mixed revenue model.
This project aligns with the NDP 2030 goals of inclusive growth, skills development, and job creation.
